Race Week Forum 

My name is Sara, I am a 27 year old (weighing roughly 55kg) Spaniard living in Australia. In January 2024, I moved to Sydney for my job and to have the opportunity to sail in the Harbour.


For some background on my sailing experience:

Started sailing on dinghies at the age of 12
Began sailing other boats at the age of 18. This included Figaros, J80s and other J class boats at the Monterreal Club de Yates de Baiona, Spain
Participated in regattas around Spain (including but not limited to the Trofeo Principe de Asturias in Baiona or La Copa del Rey in Mallorca)

Since living in Australia:

Participated in the CYCA Summer (2023-2024) Twilight series and CYCA LGT Crestone Winter Series (2024)
Crewed on a 30 Square Metre, Melges 32, Benetau, and more.

I would be honoured to sail this year at Hamilton Island Race Week. My main position on most big boats is pit/jib trimmer, however I am happy to be almost anywhere on the boat.
