I represent a UK based yacht racing team. We are looking to charter a suitable race yacht for the 2016/17 Sydney-Hobart race (i.e. in 13 months). We have extensive certification, qualifications and experience. The owner I represent has considered shipping his own yacht from Europe, however as he is planning to sell her in order to buy a larger racing boat so this is not the ideal solution.
Therefore If you have a suitable yacht or can connect us to an owner who may wish to charter please assist. We are fully aware of survey / ISAF category (our current boat meets Cat 1 + plus) requirements and are willing to ensure a suitable charter race boat is if required brought up to the standards required.
The owner and crew have extensive offshore racing experience, including Round the World race, Rolex Fastnet, Rolex Middle Sea, NW Passage (Arctic), IMOCA 60’s, Clipper race, Round Britain, transatlantics and so on.
