The Prix d’Elegance is a special award open to all yachts competing at Audi Hamilton Island Race Week 2009.

It brings another dimension of fun into the week.

This year it will be judged as the yachts depart the harbour for their respective starts on the morning of Friday 28 August 2009.

There will be two categories:

• The Best Presented Yacht and Crew (yacht in first-class trim, and matching crew uniforms)
• The Best Fun-Themed Yacht and Crew (let your imagination run wild)

The judges will be located on the end of the northern breakwater at the harbour entrance, so yachts and crews should be at their presentable best as they motor past that point en route to the start of the day’s racing.

The prizes will be awarded to the category winners at the Hamilton Island Race Week Trophy Presentation Dinner on the evening of Saturday 29August 2009.
